This iis a most popular topic among all the people on the earth : "whether there are no any competitors to English?" Many disagreed but more agreed. The people who disagreed with the idea thinks Chinese can be a rival to English. They hold the idea as China's economic and political power are increasing rapidly this days, more and more foreigners begin to know the importance of communication with China; and as Chinese comprise about sixth of the whole porpulation, it is also a big advantage. But, in my opinion, Chinese can not be a rival to English.
