Recently I undesignedly read a thought-provoking story,in which the writer vividly told us why tortoise’s shell is not smooth.Apparently it is merely a legend,yet what it reflects is far beyond the story itself.
As far as I am concerned ,the tortoise is undoubtedly clever.However ,intelligence alone does not lead to success.And what has become a common sense is that virtue of one’s inner nature actually outweigh his intelligent quotient .We have to admit that the tortoise profits a lot temporarily.But what happens to him in the end? He just fell to the ground and his shell broke into pieces.He got a narrow escape from death but this miserably left his fame completely in tatters.
