Are Dialects Just as Acceptable in Public Places?

Recently, a debate about dialects is hot. Some people take the development of dialects in public places; while others think dialects can not be acceptable in public places. As far as I am concerned, I suppose that dialects are not acceptable in public places.

Firstly, speaking dialects in public places are inconvenient for communicating. We all know that Chinese people consist of 56 ethnic groups. Therefore, it is easy to image that how many kinds of dialects we have in our country. If all people speak their own local dialects, when dealing with businesses in public place, how difficult for officers it is! As a result, it may cause many problems, such as slowing the speed of business, making some mistakes in business, and understanding hard each other.
